Good evening Families!
I am so glad to be back with the children at the school and excited to be back doing what I love!
Today for Literature the kids were able to read a little and get caught up on the AR books quizzes that they may not have been able to take while they were away! They are full steam ahead and they have been cruising on their goals. So far we have 3 students in the class who have already reached or surpassed their goals!
For writing class, we are starting our writing prompt! The prompt is "If you were stranded on an island, what are 3 things that you would take to the island?" This is a challenge for them because I am forcing them to imagine disconnecting from society and being self-reliant. I discussed at the end of class the 3 main areas for survival which are food, water, and shelter. I am guessing by the end of this essay, they will be semi prepared for being the next class of adventurers!
Thank you all so much for your time and I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
