Dear Kindergarten Families,
Our class really enjoyed celebrating Catholic Schools Week. Thank you for your love and support. It is YOU, our Saint Raphael families, who make this special celebration a great success!
We are back to our regular schedule and hitting the books hard. Can you help me settle our children back into their school routine? Completing any of the below activities at home would be great help!
Students are noticing their own developmental grow. We are starting to talk about their transition into 1st grade next year. I look forward to celebrating their growth with you as they demonstrate these reading and math skills at home.
Kindergarten Health Update: There has been a virus floating around our classroom. My experience is the fever is lasting 2-3 days. The only symptoms observed includes a stuffy / runny nose and extreme tiredness. Please make sure to get lots of rest if you are experiencing these symptoms. We are praying for everyone to quickly recover from this illness.
Upcoming Activities:
(see handout in sent home in student backpack today)
- We will play games counting to 100 - and other fun activities
- Students can bring Valentines for their classmates (20 students)
- We will have a small class party and celebrate St. Valentine
NOTE: We are celebrating St. Valentine's Day on the 13th because Ash Wednesday starts on the 14th and we will keep the day solemn as we prepare our hearts for the Lenten season.
The picture below is an example of how to dress for the 100th day of school. I had great luck finding clothing at the thrift store and Amazon. Starting planning now! :)
