I have some special announcements to share as we kick off 2024:
We send Miss Hedman a big THANK YOU for being such a special teacher in our kindergarten family. The students absolutely adore her! Miss Hedman is taking on a heavier load in college so she will not be able to spend as much time in our classroom. Rest assured, we will still receive "Miss Hedman HUGS" as she will be helping out in preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We love you, Miss Hedman!
We love you, Miss Hedman!
We welcome Mrs. Ehlenz to our kindergarten family! Mrs. Ehlenz has a sturdy background in elementary education and comes to us from our very own preschool classroom. She is a parishioner of our church and her three sons are graduates of Saint Raphael Catholic School. Welcome to kindergarten, Mrs. Ehlenz, we are SO GLAD you are here!
We will miss you, Bigham Family! The Bighams are leaving Saint Raphaels to homeschool their three beautiful children. Thank you for all of the classroom hours you have dedicated to our kindergarten family, and our school as a whole. Your family is a blessing and we hope you stay in touch!

Welcome to our kindergarten family, the Niedermeyers! Mike and Mary, thank you for sending Lucas to Saint Raphael School. Lucas has been an amazing addition to our classroom. We are so glad you are here! We also look forward to Nora joining us in preschool next year.

Dear Parents,
Today we kick off our annual Catholic United Financial (CUF) raffle. It runs January 19th - February 18th.
For this fundraiser, each student will be given 10 raffle tickets to sell. Tickets cost $10 each. This is a new ticket price, as in years past, the price was $5 per ticket.
Raffle prizes include $20,000 cash, a new car, a dream vacation, sports tickets, gift cards and other great prizes. Each student will bring home a large envelope, which contains their 10 tickets, prize information, and general raffle information. Our goal is to raise $15,000 for our school.
The money from every ticket sold stays right here at St. Raphael Catholic School.
Some important details:
CUF Raffle Packets were sent home on Friday - please check your child's backpack and put them in a safe place. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Some important details:
- Each ticket has a ticket number on it. Every Preschool - 8th grade student is assigned specific ticket numbers. Tickets are tracked via these ticket numbers. So when a ticket is turned in, the ticket number is looked at. Whomever is assigned that ticket number is given credit for that ticket. This will apply to families who have more than one student selling tickets. All tickets, sold and unsold, MUST be returned to school, per Minnesota State Law.
- Payment for tickets is cash or checks made out to St. Raphael Catholic School. Please send the exact amount as the school does not have cash on hand to provide change.
- If your child sells their 10 tickets and would like more, please have them come see Mrs. Teixeira in the office and she can assign them additional tickets.
- If you do not plan to sell your tickets, please return them to the office ASAP so other students can sell them.
- Please return ticket stubs and money in an envelope marked with student name and grade.
- If your child signs up to sell tickets at any of the Masses, have them dress in their school uniform so they are easily identifiable. See the weekly newsletter for more information about selling tickets at the Masses, or to sign up. Tickets sold at Mass will count towards each student’s goal. You do not need to bring your tickets to Mass, the school will have extra tickets there for the students to sell. Tickets sold at Mass will be divided amongst the students who are there selling at each Mass.
CUF Raffle Packets were sent home on Friday - please check your child's backpack and put them in a safe place. Please let me know if you have any questions!
