Welcome back! Here's what 4th graders are up to this week:
Reading: This week is all about non-fiction texts! Text features (glossaries, diagrams, captions, etc.), text structure, etc.
Geography: Diving into some general geography concepts like latitude and longitude, continents and oceans, etc.
Math: Continuing fractions, focusing especially on bar models and word problems. We are also working on flash cards to memorize multiplication facts. Students should be going through their flash cards every night!
Language Arts: compound sentences and run-on sentences.
Homework:
1. Read 20 minutes- reading logs went home for students who are falling behind in AR points.
2. Math pages 232-234 due tomorrow. We worked on this in class for a while, so students should be almost done. They should draw a bar model for each problem.
